COMPUTER SHORTCUTS

Some Computer Shortcuts

A computer keyboard includes many keys, but most of the keys are used for quick access to the desired section. Just like F5 is used to refresh the computer, or CTRL + R is used to refresh the computer. We hold the control key and then press the R key too. Shift, control, and alt keys are the most commonly used keys for creating shortcuts.

F1—Display Help.

F2—Rename the selected file.

F3—Search for a file.

F4 — Open the drive selection when browsing.

F5 — Refresh the current or presently active window

Ctrl + D — Cut the selected item.

Ctrl + A — This command selects all items in a file or window.

Ctrl + C — Copy the currently selected item.

Ctrl + F — Displays the Find box.

Ctrl + V — Paste the currently selected item.

Ctrl + O—Opens a file in the current or active window.

Ctrl + N—This shortcut opens a new or blank document.

Ctrl + P — Print the currently selected item.

Ctrl + R — Refresh the computer.

Ctrl + S — Save the document file.

Ctrl + U — Under highlighted section.

Ctrl + X — cut the selected item.

Ctrl + Y—Redo the previous action.

Ctrl + Z — Undo the previous action.

Ctrl + Home—Goes to the beginning of the document.

Ctrl + 1 — Single-space lines.

Alt + F—File menu option in the current program.

Alt + E — Edits options in the current program.

Alt + F4 — close the currently active program.

Alt + Tab — Switch between open programmes.

Alt + Print Screen—Create a screenshot of the current program.

Window Key + R—Opens the Run Menu.

Window Key + E — Opens Explorer.

Window Key + F — Launches a file search.

Basics of Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel is the most important part of the Microsoft office. It is a spreadsheet programme and it includes a cell, row, and column in the form of a table. The number of rows and letters in the column also defines the address of the cell. Microsoft Excel also represents charts, histograms, etc. Microsoft Excel was first used in 1987 and released for Macintosh systems in 1985.



The intersection between row and column is also known as a cell and is used for storing the data and values in sheets. 255 words can be written in one cell. The row contains numbers such as 1, 2, 3, and so on, and the column contains letters such as A, B, C, and so on. One book consists of 256 worksheets.

Microsoft Excel also includes Sheet 1, Sheet 2, and many more. We can change the sheet name. It performs various arithmetic operations like adding, subtracting, division, multiplication, etc. Each cell contains numerical values and text, which are calculated by using various formulas.
