Basics of Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel is the most important part of the Microsoft office. It is a spreadsheet programme and it includes a cell, row, and column in the form of a table. The number of rows and letters in the column also defines the address of the cell. Microsoft Excel also represents charts, histograms, etc. Microsoft Excel was first used in 1987 and released for Macintosh systems in 1985.

The intersection between row and column is also known as a cell and is used for storing the data and values in sheets. 255 words can be written in one cell. The row contains numbers such as 1, 2, 3, and so on, and the column contains letters such as A, B, C, and so on. One book consists of 256 worksheets.

Microsoft Excel also includes Sheet 1, Sheet 2, and many more. We can change the sheet name. It performs various arithmetic operations like adding, subtracting, division, multiplication, etc. Each cell contains numerical values and text, which are calculated by using various formulas.
